My time at Major Tom gave me the opportunity to work with many different clients in all different sections of business. I got the opportunity to dig deep and learn the different industries quickly, so I could create, design and work with our cross functional teams to create specialized projects reflecting their business needs aligned with their users needs.

These projects are some of my favouites:

Project Name: Hollyburn Resident Portal

Client: Hollyburn Properties Limited,

Project description: Hollyburn rental properties approached Major Tom about designing a portal which their renters and rental managers could all use to streamline day to day life in one of Hollyburn’s many rental buildings, across three provinces in Canada.

About the client: Hollyburn Properties Limited is a Canadian property management, real estate investment and purpose-built rental development company. Founded in 1972 in West Vancouver, at the forefront of the rental industry, dedicated to providing residential rental apartment homes, in three provinces across Canada. Hollyburn currently manages and operates multiple commercial properties, over 90 rental apartment communities nationwide, with over 5,700 suites in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Ottawa. It is Hollyburn’s mission to raise the standard of our property management practices to the benefit of our residents, our employees and the property management industry in Canada.

Deliverables: User Research and surveys, personas, sitemap, wireframes, development handover documentation.

Project Name: Augusta Corporate Cup

Client: Augusta Golfing Corp

Project description: Augusta Golfing is a passion project of a client at Major Tom. His great desire was to bring tournament style golfing to the online world, so people could play golf, upload their scores, and win prizes, all while using his mobile platform to play on their home courses, against colleagues from different corporate offices all over North America.

About the client: A bit of a mystery, we never actually met him, just his project manager and assistant were our main points of contact. This was a passion project he wanted to bring to life, to marry his love of business with his love of golf.

Deliverables: In person user research interviews which were conducted by myself and my colleague Eduardo Egydio, who was also building the wireframe.

Project Name: Major Tom’s in house information architecture for how client and projects are handled and organized

Client: Major Tom

Project description: Major Tom needed a more concise and user friendly way to manage all its client folders across the company. Since Major Tom is a highly collaborative agency and at the onset of this project each and every account manager across the company organized projects differently we knew we would need to look at the overall Major Tom process design, development and marketing processes, in addition to inhouse user testing across multiple offices.

About the client: The client was the entire Major Tom team. In the final analysis, the end user was also the client.

Deliverables: User Research and interviews, information architecture, and client delivery in the form of a company wide lunch and learn.
