Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m a UX Designer and design leader with 8+ years of experience shaping digital products for brands like AirMiles, Five Guys, and BC Ferries. My expertise spans research, strategy, and design execution, with a focus on building scalable design systems, accessible experiences, and products that create real impact. Whether leading cross-functional squads or rolling up my sleeves on hands-on design challenges, I’m passionate about solving problems with creativity and purpose.

What drives me most is curiosity about people, their needs, and what motivates them. That curiosity pushes me to ask questions, foster conversations, and approach design from multiple perspectives until the right solution emerges. I believe design is at its best when it balances human empathy with data-driven strategy, and when collaboration and open communication are at the heart of the process.

Outside of work, I bring the same sense of exploration to life. Growing up in Vancouver gave me a love for adventure, from mountain hikes and road trips to discovering the cultural pockets of the city. Today, I channel that energy into travelling, experimenting in the kitchen with forgotten recipes, and exploring creative outlets like fibre arts. For me, design—and life—is about leaving things better than when we found them.
